1 Nɔŋw ṯayya ǝzir-lɔ wa nɔŋweele kǝzir wǝthi Yahuuḏiiyyǝ-ŋw wɔnaanɔ Urḏɔn-ŋwɔ ṯɔɔɽɔthala, nǝ ŋwɔdɔŋw raaytha naanɔ-ŋgwɔ kwokwony, mindaŋ nɔŋwsi ṯinaŋ ǝccǝ @aalima, kaka nɔrɔ-gwɔ ǝthi wuuŋwun. 2 Nǝ Lifirriisiiyyiin ele naanɔ-ŋgwɔ ethi mɔmmi, nǝrǝccǝŋw, “Andica-nyji-ṯi Sherii@a kwǝri kwǝṯi ǝmminici kwɔɔrɔ ethi ǝccǝ kwayɔ kwuuŋwun ṯolligǝ?” 3 Nɔŋwsi ǝŋnici nɔŋwsǝccǝŋw, “Muusǝ kwǝllicǝ-ŋǝsi waamira ethaari-tha?” 4 Nǝrǝccǝŋw, “Muusǝ kwǝmminicǝ-nyji ethi kwɔr lo shahaaḏa kwǝthi-gi ǝccǝ ŋunḏuŋw ṯɔlliga, ethi ṯiŋaatha kithaay etheele.” 5 Laakin nǝsi Yǝcu ǝccǝŋw, “Kaka nɔnḏɔŋa-gwɔ rɔgwori kwɔro-kwɔrop, nɔŋw-mǝ locce ŋaaŋwɔsi waamira wɔ. 6 Laakin kinaŋw-lɔ tuk, nigittinǝ-gwɔ ṯurmun-lɔ kwon-kwon, nǝ Allah kette kwɔɔrɔ-ŋwɔsi kwaaw-gi, kaka nandisa-gwɔ Kiṯaab. 7 Nǝ sǝbǝb-gi-ṯǝ ŋgwɔ, a kwɔr ṯaasi ṯǝrnyin-ŋwɔsi-lɔ lǝnyin-gi, ethi ɔɽɔmaṯṯi kwaaw-gi kwuuŋwun, 8 mindaŋ mǝ kila lir nḏǝn ɔɽɔmaṯṯi dɔŋw ethoro-na lɔtɔpɔt. Ŋwɔṯaŋw ǝreere oro nḏǝn kwokwony mac, laakin ǝroro aŋna-na wɔtɔpɔt. 9 Kila lǝṯisi Allah ɔɽɔmasi dɔŋw, laazim a kwizi ere kweere mac kwǝsi fǝthǝlɔ.” 10 Na mǝr naani kiininy tǝ, nǝ ṯalaamiiz uṯicelɔ kwokwony ŋiɽaŋal-ŋi ŋɔ. 11 Nɔŋwsǝccǝŋw, “Kweere nyithak kwǝccǝ kwayɔ kwuuŋwun ṯolliga, mindaŋ mɔŋwaagwɔ kwir ter, nɔŋwɔni kwɔmǝ ǝrrici ŋunduŋw ŋikiyaŋi ŋir ŋiijin. 12 Na mǝ kwaaw tok ǝccǝ kwɔɔrɔ kwuuŋwun ṯolliga, mindaŋ mǝ kwɔr aagwɔ kwir ter, nɔŋwɔni kwɔmǝ ǝrrici ŋunduŋw ŋikiyaŋi ŋir ŋiijin tok.”

13 Nǝr mɔlca nyɔɔrɔ nyokwɔɽony, ethisi kette rii naana; mindaŋ nǝsi ṯalaamiiz ǝrmici. 14 Mǝsi Yǝcu ese ŋɔ, nɔŋw urǝzi ṯɔgwori, mindaŋ nɔŋwsǝccǝŋw, “Duŋgwǝcǝr nyɔɔrɔ ǝriila naaniny-gwɔ, ǝṯisi ṯiinyinǝ mac, kaka nɔrɔ-gwɔ Ŋeeleny ŋǝthi Allah ŋeeŋen. 15 Nyii kwǝccǝ-ŋǝsi-mǝ ŋwɔ rerrem, mɔŋweere ǝmmini kweere Ŋeelenyi ŋǝthi Allah mac kaka tɔɔrɔ tokwɔɽony, ŋgweere ǝnḏinǝ ḏuṯ.” 16 Ṯaŋw nɔŋwsi ɔṯatha kiyaɽiviny, mindaŋ nɔŋwsi-mǝ kette rii naana ruuŋwun, e-ta nɔŋwsi-mǝ ɔrtatha.

17 Mɔŋw ṯayya ǝzir-lɔ wa, mindaŋ mɔŋweele ki-thaay-la tǝ, nǝ kwɔr kwette avra nɔŋw kwoccelɔ rwɔɽelle-na, nɔŋwɔccǝŋw, “Yaa Mɔ@allim kwɔvthanna, aatha kwɔnyǝrri laazim mindaŋ ethi-mǝ aavi ŋimiitha ŋǝṯi nannitha dok-dok?” 18 Nǝ Yǝcu ǝŋnici nɔŋwɔccǝŋw, “A kwotho kwǝccǝny kwɔvthanna? Kwende kweere kwɔvthanna illi Allah ṯɔɽɔk. 19 A kwilŋithi-pǝ waamira: ‘Ǝṯeere ɽeenye mac, ǝṯeere oro kwiijin mac, ǝṯeere nyiimi mac, ǝṯeere oro shuhuuḏ kwir kwǝluŋw mac, ǝṯeere yee kwizi ḏaalima mac, ǝṯiiɽi ṯarnyalɔ-ŋwɔsi-na laanyalɔ-gi’.” 20 Nɔŋw ǝŋnici nɔŋwɔccǝŋw, “Yaa Mɔ@allim, waamir wɔ tatap wimthi-nyii ŋogog-ŋi yey-yǝlɔ tuk.” 21 Nǝ Yǝcu ecce ŋoṯ-ŋoṯ, mindaŋ nɔŋw amɽi ŋunduŋw, e-ta nɔŋwɔccǝŋw, “Kwiiraca-ŋa kwɔtɔpɔt, nḏi a liṯṯa kwomne kwɔɔŋa tatap kwǝthi-ŋǝ, mindaŋ a inḏǝthǝ lɔwaaya, e-ta ǝmǝ ǝthi ŋɔrṯɔwa ki-leere-na; mindaŋ ǝmǝ iila, ǝnyii rɔɔma.” 22 Mɔŋw neŋne ŋiɽaŋali ŋɔ tǝ, nɔŋw iidǝ kiyǝnǝ nyjuṯ, mindaŋ nɔŋw iidǝthǝ kithaay kwɔrɔɔnyɔna, kaka nɔro-ŋgwɔ kwɔrṯɔ beṯṯen.
23 Nǝ Yǝcu ǝɽi yǝy nɔŋw iccannalɔ, mindaŋ nɔŋwɔccǝ ṯalaamiiza ṯuuŋwun-ŋwɔ, “Ŋinḏimi ethi ferlle beṯ-beṯṯen ŋǝthi kila lǝthi ŋɔrṯɔwa ethi ǝnḏi ki Ŋeeleny-na ŋǝthi Allah.” 24 Nǝ ṯalaamiiz liŋɽi ŋiɽaŋal-ŋi ŋuuŋun. Laakin nǝsi Yǝcu ǝccǝŋw, “Kwelle, ŋǝṯimi ferlle beṯ-beṯṯen ethi ǝnḏi ki Ŋeeleny-na ŋǝthi Allah! 25 Ŋirmi heyyin ethi kamla ruulu weṯ ṯuuthi-nǝ ṯǝthi livri, ethi kwɔrṯɔ-la ethǝnḏi ki Ŋeeleny-na ŋǝthi Allah.” 26 Ŋwɔṯaŋw nǝr liɽɽilɔ buruc beṯṯen ŋiɽaŋal-ŋi ŋɔ nǝr andasi-na nǝraarɔŋw, “Nǝ ǝyǝ kwɔrɔ kwaani kilaaw?” 27 Nǝsi Yǝcu ecce tok-tok, mindaŋ nɔŋwsǝccǝŋw, “Ŋiti ŋir mǝmkin mac naanɔ-gwɔ kwizigwunǝŋ, laakin nǝreere oroŋw mac Allah-yi; kaka nɔrɔ-gwɔ kwomne tatap mǝmkin naanɔ-gwɔ Allah.” 28 E-ta nǝ Bɔṯrɔs ǝccǝŋw, “Iisa-ṯi, nyiiŋǝ limǝ-pǝ tayya kwomne-lɔ kwǝri tatap nǝŋǝ rɔɔma.” 29 Nǝsi Yǝcu ǝccǝŋw, “Nyii kwǝccǝ-ŋǝsi-mǝ ŋwɔ rerrem, mǝ kweere ṯayya dɔɔnɔ-ŋwɔlɔ, alla liyeŋgen lir lɔr alla lir laaw, ǝllǝ lanyin-ŋa ṯarnyin-ṯhi, ǝllǝ nyɔɔrǝ, alla wuṯhɔr, saɔaɔ-gi kwiinyi alla kwǝni Inyjiil, 30 ŋwaavi kwomne kwir nyaaminna ruɽi-ṯɔthni ki-ṯurmun-nǝ kɔthɔ, kwir yiŋna-ŋa liyaŋgalɔ-ŋǝli lir lɔr nǝ lir laaw tok, nǝ ayya-ŋa, nǝ nyɔr-ŋa nǝ wuthǝr, nǝ ṯǝwɽǝ yǝy-lɔ tok; nǝ ki-ŋwɔɔmɔr-la ŋwinḏi ethiila, ŋwɔ kaṯṯasi ŋimiitha ŋǝṯi nannitha dok-dok. 31 Nǝ laakin littǝzir liŋna ǝraaɽitha kwaathan, nǝ linaanɔ kwaathan ǝri eŋne.”

32 Nǝ Yǝcu-ŋǝ ṯalaamiiz-thi ṯuuŋwun naani ki-thaay-la kirem lithaaŋwɔ etheele Urshaliim. Nɔŋwsi iŋnaci keereny mindaŋ nǝr liŋɽi, nǝ kila likwaatha-thɔ nǝr ṯeenye. Mɔŋwsi mɔlo lir wrii-kwuɽǝn kwokwony nɔŋwsi andaci ŋiɽaŋali ŋa ŋinḏi ethi ǝrrinici ŋunduŋw. 33 Nɔŋwsǝccǝŋw, “Iisar-ṯi, aŋgwɔ kwinḏir ethi ṯaaŋi Urshaliim; e-ṯa ǝri mithǝ Tɔɔrɔ tǝthi kwizigwunǝŋ ethinḏǝthǝ rɔ-asa rǝthi kahana-ŋǝ mɔ@allimiin-gi kwǝthi Sherii@a ǝri ǝccǝ haakima ŋiɽany-ŋi, mindaŋ ǝri inḏǝthǝ lizi lir Umam; 34 ǝri ǝrrǝlɔŋw, ǝri ɔnyatha naana, ǝri ippi souṯ-gi, ǝri ɽeenye; mindaŋ mǝ ŋwaamin ṯɔɽol ere tǝ ŋwɔ diiɽǝ.”

35 Nǝ Ya@guub-ŋǝ Yuhanna-gi lir nyɔr nyǝthi Zabḏi, iila naanɔ-ŋgwɔ, nerǝccǝŋw, “Yaa Mɔ@allim, nyiiŋǝ linaŋna-ŋa ethi ǝrrici nyuŋwsi kwomne kweere nyithak kwǝrŋǝ-gi uṯicǝlɔ.” 36 Nɔŋwsi ǝŋnici nɔŋwsǝccǝŋw, “Aatha kwɔnaŋnathiŋa nyuŋwɔ ethǝrrici ŋaaŋwɔsi?” 37 Nǝrǝccǝŋw, “Duŋgwǝcǝ-nyji nyii naani, kwette ki-thii ṯǝthi mɔni, nǝ kwɔthaathɔ ki-thii ṯǝthi ŋǝgwur ki-ŋinith-nǝ ŋɔɔŋa.” 38 Laakin nǝsi Yǝcu ǝŋnici nɔŋwsǝccǝŋw, “A liti lilŋithi kwomne kwɔṯɔŋa-galɔ mac. A lǝthi ŋɔma ethi rǝŋinŋi ṯirǝrinnǝ-ithi ṯinḏny-thi ethi rǝrinni-a? A lǝthi ŋɔma laazim ethaari @ammiḏa ṯǝrṯiib-thi ṯinḏiny-thi ethaari @ammiḏa?” 39 Nǝr ǝŋnici nǝrǝccǝŋw, “Aw nyiiŋǝ lǝthi ŋɔma rac.” Nǝsi Yǝcu ǝccǝŋw, “Tiṯira kira tǝṯiny-ri ii laazim ǝri ii ŋaaŋa tok; nǝ ṯǝrṯiib ṯǝthi ma@muuḏiiyya kwnḏiny-gi laazim ethi-gi aari @ammiḏa, kwagi aari @ammiḏa ŋaaŋa tok. 40 Laakin ŋǝthi naanasi nyuŋwɔ ki-thii ṯǝthi mɔni, alla ṯǝthi ŋǝŋwur nǝreere oro ŋiinyi mac, laakin nǝroro ŋǝthi kila ŋǝgicǝrsi-gi ǝzir.” 41 Mǝrsi neŋne kila lithaathɔ lir wrii, nǝr urǝcci Yɔ@guub-ŋwɔsi Yuhannaŋi rɔgwori. 42 Nǝsi Yǝcu ɔrnɔṯa tatap dɔŋw nɔŋwsǝccǝŋw, “Ŋilŋithi-ŋǝsi rac, ethaarɔŋw Umam wǝṯi rɔ-asa mithǝ sɔlṯa-gi, nǝ ǝṯisi ŋwɔmba ŋweeŋen kette rii-la. 43 Laakin ŋɔ tǝ, areere oroŋw mac daŋgal-na; laakin mɔŋw naŋni kweere ethi ṯamthɔ ŋaaŋwɔsi-la, laazim ŋworo khaḏaam kaalɔ tatap. 44 Mǝ kweere naŋni ethɔrɔ nda daŋgal-la, laazim ŋworo kwɔwaay kwaalɔ tatap. 45 Nǝ Tɔr tǝthi Kwizigwunǝŋ ere iila ethi ǝkkisi ŋunduŋw ŋothɽor mac; laakin nɔŋw iila kǝniny ethisi ǝkkici lithaathɔ ŋothɽor, mindaŋ ethisi inḏǝthǝ ŋimiitha ŋuuŋun, ethoro ṯallithisa ṯǝthi kila luuru.”

46 Nǝr ɔppatha Ariiha, mindaŋ mǝ Yǝcu ɔrlacci Ariiha-ŋw ŋwɔdoŋw ŋundu-ŋǝ ṯalaamiiz-ṯhi ṯuuŋwun nǝ dɔŋw lɔppa tok, nɔŋw naani kwette kinaŋw ṯaay kǝni kwǝni Bɔrṯiimaaws kwir tɔr tǝthi Ṯiimaawus kwǝṯi kegittice lizi yerge-la. 47 Mɔŋw neŋne ethaarɔŋw Yǝcu kwir kwǝthi Naasira-ŋw, nɔŋw ɔrnɔṯila lok-lok, nɔŋwɔccǝŋw, “Yǝcu! Kwir Tɔr tǝthi Ḏaawḏ-ŋǝ! Iinǝ-nyii-ṯǝ tɔgwor-na!” 48 Nǝr kirnyatha luuru ŋɔrɔṯ ethi naani tugwup; laakin nɔŋw-mǝ kǝniny ɔppɔnɔ rerrec, “Tɔr tǝthi Ḏaawḏ-ŋǝ, iina-nyii-ṯǝ ṯɔgwor-nǝ!” 49 Nǝ Yǝcu rilli kirip, nɔŋwsǝccǝŋw, “Ɔrnacar-nyii.” Nǝr ɔrnɔṯa kwunduŋǝ nǝrǝccǝŋw, “Firllathila a diiɽi nǝ ŋgwana kwɔrnɔṯɔ-ŋa.” 50 Nɔŋw kaṯṯɔ fǝrṯilɔ wur, nɔŋw purlǝthǝlǝ, nɔŋweele naanɔ-gwɔ Yǝcu. 51 Nǝ Yǝcu uṯicǝlɔ nɔŋwɔccǝŋw, “A kwɔnaŋna-nyii ethǝrrici ŋaaŋwɔ aatha?” Nǝ kwunduŋ ǝŋnici nɔŋwɔccǝŋw, “Yaa Mɔ@allim eṯhinyii-ṯǝ avri yǝy-nǝ.” 52 Nǝ Yǝcu accǝŋw, “Nḏi kǝniny ṯǝmminǝ ṯɔɔŋwa ṯimǝŋǝ sǝwi.” Ŋwɔṯaŋw nǝ yǝy yuuŋwun avrina dar tɔc, mindaŋ nɔŋw rɔɔmi Yǝcu-ŋw ki-thaay-la.
Teaching about Divorce
(Matthew 19.1-12Luke 16.18)
1 After Jesus left, he went to Judea and then on to the other side of the Jordan River. Once again large crowds came to him, and as usual, he taught them.
2 Some Pharisees wanted to test Jesus. So they came up to him and asked if it was right for a man to divorce his wife. 3 Jesus asked them, “What does the Law of Moses say about this?”
4 They answered, “Moses allows a man to write out divorce papers and send his wife away.”
5 Jesus replied, “Moses gave you this law because you are so heartless. 6 But in the beginning God made a man and a woman. 7 That's why a man leaves his father and mother and gets married. 8 He becomes like one person with his wife. Then they are no longer two people, but one. 9 And no one should separate a couple that God has joined together.”
10 When Jesus and his disciples were back in the house, they asked him about what he had said. 11 He told them, “A man who divorces his wife and marries someone else is unfaithful to his wife. 12 A woman who divorces her husband and marries again is also unfaithful.”
Jesus Blesses Little Children
(Matthew 19.13-15Luke 18.15-17)
13 Some people brought their children to Jesus so he could bless them by placing his hands on them. But his disciples told the people to stop bothering him.
14 When Jesus saw this, he became angry and said, “Let the children come to me! Don't try to stop them. People who are like these little children belong to the kingdom of God. 15 I promise you that you cannot get into God's kingdom, unless you accept it the way a child does.” 16 Then Jesus took the children in his arms and blessed them by placing his hands on them.
A Rich Man
(Matthew 19.16-30Luke 18.18-30)
17 As Jesus was walking down a road, a man ran up to him. He knelt down, and asked, “Good teacher, what can I do to have eternal life?”
18 Jesus replied, “Why do you call me good? Only God is good. 19 You know the commandments. ‘Do not murder. Be faithful in marriage. Do not steal. Do not tell lies about others. Do not cheat. Respect your father and mother.’ ”
20 The man answered, “Teacher, I have obeyed all these commandments since I was a young man.”
21 Jesus looked closely at the man. He liked him and said, “There's one thing you still need to do. Go sell everything you own. Give the money to the poor, and you will have riches in heaven. Then come with me.”
22 When the man heard Jesus say this, he went away gloomy and sad because he was very rich.
23 Jesus looked around and said to his disciples, “It's hard for rich people to get into God's kingdom!” 24 The disciples were shocked to hear this. So Jesus told them again, “It's terribly hard to get into God's kingdom! 25 In fact, it's easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle than for a rich person to get into God's kingdom.”
26 Jesus' disciples were even more amazed. They asked each other, “How can anyone ever be saved?”
27 Jesus looked at them and said, “There are some things that people cannot do, but God can do anything.”
28 Peter replied, “Remember, we left everything to be your followers!”
29 Jesus told him:
You can be sure that anyone who gives up home or brothers or sisters or mother or father or children or land for me and for the good news 30 will be rewarded. In this world they will be given 100 times as many houses and brothers and sisters and mothers and children and pieces of land, though they will also be mistreated. And in the world to come, they will have eternal life. 31 But many who are now first will be last, and many who are now last will be first.
Jesus Again Tells about His Death
(Matthew 20.17-19Luke 18.31-34)
32 The disciples were confused as Jesus led them toward Jerusalem, and his other followers were afraid. Once again, Jesus took the twelve disciples aside and told them what was going to happen to him. He said:
33 We are now on our way to Jerusalem where the Son of Man will be handed over to the chief priests and the teachers of the Law of Moses. They will sentence him to death and hand him over to foreigners, 34 who will make fun of him and spit on him. They will beat him and kill him. But three days later he will rise to life.
The Request of James and John
(Matthew 20.20-28)
35 James and John, the sons of Zebedee, came up to Jesus and asked, “Teacher, will you do us a favor?”
36 Jesus asked them what they wanted, 37 and they answered, “When you come into your glory, please let one of us sit at your right side and the other at your left.”
38 Jesus told them, “You don't really know what you're asking! Are you able to drink from the cup that I must soon drink from or be baptized as I must be baptized?”
39 “Yes, we are!” James and John answered.
Then Jesus replied, “You certainly will drink from the cup from which I must drink. And you will be baptized just as I must! 40 But it isn't for me to say who will sit at my right side and at my left. This is for God to decide.”
41 When the ten other disciples heard this, they were angry with James and John. 42 But Jesus called the disciples together and said:
You know that those foreigners who call themselves kings like to order their people around. And their great leaders have full power over the people they rule. 43 But don't act like them. If you want to be great, you must be the servant of all the others. 44 And if you want to be first, you must be everyone's slave. 45 The Son of Man did not come to be a slave master, but a slave who will give his life to rescue many people.
Jesus Heals Blind Bartimaeus
(Matthew 20.29-34Luke 18.35-43)
46 Jesus and his disciples went to Jericho. And as they were leaving, they were followed by a large crowd. A blind beggar by the name of Bartimaeus son of Timaeus was sitting beside the road. 47 When he heard that it was Jesus from Nazareth, he shouted, “Jesus, Son of David, have pity on me!” 48 Many people told the man to stop, but he shouted even louder, “Son of David, have pity on me!”
49 Jesus stopped and said, “Call him over!”
They called out to the blind man and said, “Don't be afraid! Come on! He is calling for you.” 50 The man threw off his coat as he jumped up and ran to Jesus.
51 Jesus asked, “What do you want me to do for you?”
The blind man answered, “Master, I want to see!”
52 Jesus told him, “You may go. Your eyes are healed because of your faith.”
At once the man could see, and he went down the road with Jesus.
