1 ŋwu ṯaŋwu, eti deŋtini eḏaɽani Allah, kaka nyor nyeṯuŋw zi amɽi. 2 na eti dirnaṯi ki tamɽa-na, amɽa ŋazi gwu Kwruztu, nuŋw ma ṯiŋaci ŋaŋwuzi rɔgwɽɔ lu ruŋun, nuŋw ta orɔ karama keṯi tiŋaci Allah wəŋ lu wami.
3 etere andazi ŋiɽaŋali lu ŋeḏi ŋijin ḏuṯ na ŋere ŋiti nofḏana mac, na ṯimiidaḏa tɔk mac, ezi ere mumri la mac, kaka ur ŋa gwu leni lirlinelu ter eḏi Kwruztu-na. 4 etere emni daŋgal-na ŋiɽaŋali ŋiti ŋizaw mac, ya ŋir ŋiḏyaki, ya ŋir zurgwa domony, kaka enir gwu ŋiti ŋofḏana mac; lakin, ki lobi leḏi ŋiɽaŋal ŋir kaka ŋu, eḏir eca Allah zukran. 5 etizelŋece ŋu rac eḏaruŋw, kwijin kwiti kwere mac, ya kwizi kweṯuri yey lu, ya ŋgwa kweri miidaḏa kwɔmne, —kwunderṯa kweṯi kwɔkwoce kwɔmne lu,— ŋwu ere afi ŋoru ŋere mac ki ŋeleny-na ŋeḏi Kwruztu-ŋa Allah yi. 6 etere efrici kwere mac eḏi kekeɽinji ŋaŋwuzi lu ŋiɽaŋal ŋi ŋir kenjer domony, kaka ur ṯa ŋiɽaŋal ŋu ŋeṯafa ŋirŋaza ŋeḏi Allah ki lizi-na kla lir lidurlaḏu. 7 ṯaŋwu, eṯi li ere irerelu mac. 8 kaka eni ŋa gwu kerreny kirim, lakin kire-kirem ŋgwu, a limorɔ fori eḏi Kweleny-na; eṯi dirnaṯi kaka nyor nyeḏi fori 9 (kaka ur gwu nyor nyeḏi fori kwɔmne tatap kwir kwizana na kwirlalu na kwir rerem tɔk.) 10 deŋṯineri eḏelŋe kwɔmne eḏi gi əmi Kwelenyi-na. 11 ruceri ŋɔḏɽor-na ŋeṯirzerri ŋir kaka kirim, ŋiti ŋetafa ṯortaḏa tere mac, na eti zi ruwezelu. 12 kaka eṯir gwu orɔ feḏiya keni eḏi zi andazi ŋeḏi kwɔmne ŋgwa kweṯir erri ŋejmeti. 13 lakin ma kwɔmne ruwene lu fori gi, eṯuŋw ijini, na fori eḏi ŋuma keni eḏerṯe kwɔmne nana mindaŋ muŋw iiḏi fori gi tɔk. 14 ŋwu taŋwu, ner aruŋw:
kiɽṯi, ŋa, ŋgwa kwinḏiri,
a diɽa ki ŋiɽany-na,
mindaŋ a ŋa Kwruztu tiŋaḏa fori nana.
15 izar pa ami eleŋw ŋama-ŋamaŋ kaka lizi lifirli ki, liti liḏiki mac. 16 aŋricar ŋwomuri eḏi ŋi erri ŋizaw, kaka eni gwu ŋwamin ŋwu ŋwiki. 17 ŋwu ṯaŋwu, etere eni liḏiki mac, lakin eṯi deŋṯini eḏizelŋe ŋeḏi tugwor ṯeḏi Allah ŋorti ḏa. 18 na etere urleli kiɽca gi mac, kaka eṯuŋw gwu mulṯaḏa lizi ki ŋiɽaŋal-na ŋiki, lakin eṯefrinji Ṯigɽima ṯirlinelu ter eḏureni rugwori ralu dedep; 19 mindaŋ ma andindazi daŋgal-na limazmur li, rilŋa ri tɔk, eḏi iɽezi Kwelenyi rilŋa ri kru rami, rugwor ri ralu minmin. 20 eṯeca Allah zukran ŋwamin rac, na kwɔmne gi tatap, yiriny yi yeḏi Kweleny kweri kweni Yecu Kwruztu.
ŋeḏre ŋeḏi duənu kweḏi likwruztyan
21 eti zi ami ketize yeyŋw ŋeḏi liḏaḏu daŋgal-na, eḏi ŋi iɽi Kwruztuŋw-na. 22 ŋaŋa lir law, eti ketice lileluŋwuzi ŋiɽaŋali yey, kaka ŋeḏi Kweleny. 23 kaka ur gwu kwor nda leḏi kwaw kwuŋwun, kaka ur gwu ṯa Kwruztu nda leḏi kaniiza, kir aŋna wuŋwun, nuŋw orɔ ki rɔgwɽɔ ruŋwun wuɽe-wuɽeny Kwigileḏa kwuŋwun. 24 kaka eṯi gwu kaniiza inyica Kwruztuŋw nana, ner ṯa orɔ ŋwu tɔk ŋeḏi law eḏinyici loru leŋen nana ki ŋiɽaŋal-na tatap. 25 lor, amɽari layu lalu kaka amɽa gwu Kwruztu kaniiza, tiŋacaŋw gwu rɔgwɽɔ lu, 26 mindaŋ muŋw ṯa irli kaniiza lu ter, zuɽaŋw gwu ṯuzuɽu ṯi-na ṯeḏi ŋaw, na ṯeḏi ŋiɽaŋal ŋuŋun, 27 mindaŋ muŋw kiṯani kaniiza ki rɔgwɽɔ ruŋwun ŋiniṯ ŋi, eḏorɔ kuŋwun, kiti keḏi tɔmne nana tere tir lufru mac, ya ŋwuɽuṯ nana tɔk mac, lakin kirlinelu ter, kiira loma-na lere. 28 ṯaŋwu, ner ofḏani eḏi lor amindindi layu leŋen kaka ṯa eṯir gwu amindi yaŋna yeŋen. ŋgwa kweṯamɽi kwayu kwuŋwun, kweṯi ṯa amɽi rɔgwɽɔ ruŋwun. 29 kwizi kwiti kwere mac kweri firazi aŋna wuŋwun; eṯuŋw ɽuni na eṯuŋw aŋraci tɔk ŋama-ŋamaŋ; ṯaŋwu eṯi Kwruztu ɽuni kaniiza, na eṯuŋw aŋraci tɔk, 30 kaka urir gwu nyiŋa kwɔmne kwir-na ter ter kweḏi aŋna wuŋwun. 31 ŋiɽaŋal ŋi ṯa ŋu, kaka luḏinar gwu, ŋaruŋw: a kwor duŋgweci ṯernyin ŋwuzi lenyin gi eḏoɽmaṯi kwaw gi kwuŋwun, na lir-na nden er orɔ aŋna-na wutuput. 32 ŋizanyji ŋeni ŋupa ŋulucina ki ŋiɽaŋal-na ŋu, ŋeni Kwruztu-na kaniiza gi, 33 lakin ŋeni ŋalu tɔk; eḏi lor daŋgal-na lere lere amindi layu leŋen, enir gwu kaka rɔgwɽɔ rutuput, na eḏi law aŋrani eḏi iɽi loru-na leŋen.
Living in the Light
1 Since you are God's dear children, you must try to be like him. 2 Your life must be controlled by love, just as Christ loved us and gave his life for us as a sweet-smelling offering and sacrifice that pleases God.
3 Since you are God's people, it is not right that any matters of sexual immorality or indecency or greed should even be mentioned among you. 4 Nor is it fitting for you to use language which is obscene, profane, or vulgar. Rather you should give thanks to God. 5 You may be sure that no one who is immoral, indecent, or greedy (for greed is a form of idolatry) will ever receive a share in the Kingdom of Christ and of God.
6 Do not let anyone deceive you with foolish words; it is because of these very things that God's anger will come upon those who do not obey him. 7 So have nothing at all to do with such people. 8 You yourselves used to be in the darkness, but since you have become the Lord's people, you are in the light. So you must live like people who belong to the light, 9 for it is the light that brings a rich harvest of every kind of goodness, righteousness, and truth. 10 Try to learn what pleases the Lord. 11 Have nothing to do with the worthless things that people do, things that belong to the darkness. Instead, bring them out to the light. ( 12 It is really too shameful even to talk about the things they do in secret.) 13 And when all things are brought out to the light, then their true nature is clearly revealed; 14 for anything that is clearly revealed becomes light. That is why it is said,
“Wake up, sleeper,
and rise from death,
and Christ will shine on you.”
15 So be careful how you live. Don't live like ignorant people, but like wise people. 16 Make good use of every opportunity you have, because these are evil days. 17 Don't be fools, then, but try to find out what the Lord wants you to do.
18 Do not get drunk with wine, which will only ruin you; instead, be filled with the Spirit. 19 Speak to one another with the words of psalms, hymns, and sacred songs; sing hymns and psalms to the Lord with praise in your hearts. 20 In the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, always give thanks for everything to God the Father.
Wives and Husbands
21 Submit yourselves to one another because of your reverence for Christ.
22 Wives, submit yourselves to your husbands as to the Lord. 23 For a husband has authority over his wife just as Christ has authority over the church; and Christ is himself the Savior of the church, his body. 24 And so wives must submit themselves completely to their husbands just as the church submits itself to Christ.
25 Husbands, love your wives just as Christ loved the church and gave his life for it. 26 He did this to dedicate the church to God by his word, after making it clean by washing it in water, 27 in order to present the church to himself in all its beauty—pure and faultless, without spot or wrinkle or any other imperfection. 28 Men ought to love their wives just as they love their own bodies. A man who loves his wife loves himself. ( 29 None of us ever hate our own bodies. Instead, we feed them, and take care of them, just as Christ does the church; 30 for we are members of his body.) 31 As the scripture says, “For this reason a man will leave his father and mother and unite with his wife, and the two will become one.” 32 There is a deep secret truth revealed in this scripture, which I understand as applying to Christ and the church. 33 But it also applies to you: every husband must love his wife as himself, and every wife must respect her husband.
