أينَ توَجَّهَ حَبـيبُكِ،

مَرهوبـةٌ كجيشٍ بِراياتٍ.
5 حَوِّلي عَينَيكِ عنِّي،
فهُما تُرهِبانِني.
شَعرُكِ قطيعُ معَزٍ
رابضٌ على جبَلِ جلعادَ.
6 أسنانُكِ قطيعُ نِعاجٍ
طالِـعٌ مِنَ الاغتِسالِ.
كُلُّ واحدٍ وتَوأمُهُ،
وما مِنْ واحدٍ مَفقودٍ.
7 خَدَّاكِ فَلْقَتا رُمَّانةٍ
مِنْ وراءِ حِجابِكِ.
8 سِتُّونَ نِساءُ المَلِكِ
وثمانونَ هُنَّ جَواريهِ،
ولا عدَدَ لِلعذارى.
9 وأنا حمامتي، كاملَتي، وحيدةٌ،
وحيدةٌ لأمِّها هيَ،
مُطيعةٌ لِمَنْ ولَدَتْها.
رأتْها فهَنَّأتْها الصَّبايا،
والمَلِكاتُ مدَحْنَها والجَواري.
10 مَنْ هذِهِ المُشرِقَةُ كالصُّبْحِ؟
الجميلةُ كالقمرِ،
البهيَّةُ كالشَّمسِ،
المَرهوبةُ كجيشٍ بِراياتٍ.
11 نزَلْتُ إلى جَنَّةِ الجَوزِ
لأرى ثِمارَ الوادي،
لأنظُرَ هل أزهَرَ الكَرمُ
ونوَّرَ الرُّمَّانُ،
12 فتَخَيَّلتُ فَجأةً أنَّني
في مَوكِبِ بِنتِ الأميرِ.
